Welcome to the Love Live Music Secrets of Success Podcast. If you are interested in being successful in your music industry career, you have come to the right place! In this Podcast we will be chatting with the super successful people who make the music industry tick. We will be picking their brains, extracting their secrets for success and listening to their reflections on their careers. My name is Sally Jackson Freeman and I have been working in the music industry since the 80’s. I started out as a runner in my Dad’s recording studio working with such iconic bands as Motorhead and have just completed a 10 year stint at Glastonbury in the Dance Field working with artists such as Stormzy and Fatboy Slim. In recent years I have lecturing on a masters course at Tileyard Studios, BIMM and had the privilege to mentor the next generation of music industry professionals around the world. Over the past 30 plus years in the music business I have pretty much seen and heard it all, the good, the bad and the ugly…. The one thing I know beyond doubt, is that behind every superstar, is a huge team of highly successful and talented individuals who help the artists realise and monetise their talent. I am interested in what makes these people successful and the journey’s they have been on to achieve their success. This podcast is dedicated to finding out what makes these people so successful and sharing their insider knowledge and tips with you. For my first season, I will be chatting with 10 people that I have worked who I know are at the top of their game. Welcome to the first Secrets of Success Podcast of 2021.

Happy New Year to you all. I’ve missed you!

I am on lockdown in London, it’s grey, it's rainy and as I write this, it is Blue Monday – the third Monday in January, supposedly one of the most depressing days of the year. However, I hope to bring you inspiration, hope, encouragement and advice through this Podcast. So have a listen and enjoy!

I am delighted to welcome Grahame Farmer from Data Transmission this week - Data Transmission.

I ask Grahame what are his strategies and secrets to success in the music industry? What gives him purpose each day and how does he get out of bed at 4.45am in the morning?!
